About the Play
Bruised draws audiences into an intimate dinner shared by three womenâa former astronaut, a birdwatcher, and a migrant. As their stories unfold, they reveal the invisible threads that connect us all to a world in constant flux.From the patterns of migratory birds to the forces of the oceans, from the uncertainties that lie ahead to the quiet strength of human survival, their conversation touches on the forces that shape our lives and our futures.Through immersive storytelling and emotional insight, Bruised explores how we adapt to change and where we find hope. It's a celebration of resilience, wisdom, and the power of personal connection in an uncertain world.

Vivienne Glance - Playwright
Vivienne Glance is an award-winning playwright, and her plays have been published and produced in Australia, England, Scotland, Europe and the United States of America.Vivienne holds a PhD in Creative Writing from UWA and is an Honorary Research Fellow. She has worked as a dramaturge, peer assessor and mentor. She presents her creative work through her âFollow That Cat Productionsâ. More about Vivienne Glance can be found at vivienneglance.com.

Talia Zipper - Director
Talia Zipper is a dynamic emerging artist who recently graduated from WAAPAâs Bachelor of Performing Arts (Performance Making) and Monash Universityâs Bachelor of Arts. She has appeared at Theatre Works, The Malthouse, and The Blue Room Theatre, and recently explored producing and stage management through FEMOID. and Blue Angel at Summer Nights 2025.Her directorial debut, MUSE (2024), was met with success, and sheâll take part in a PICA residency in 2025. Bruised marks her mainstage directing debut.
